How to apply:

Select one province and one nursing group (ex: BCCNP)

12 months to apply

The application process may take up to 12 months to complete. How long it will take depends on:

1. When NNAS receives all of your required information and acceptable documents.

2. When you have successfully completed a language proficiency test (if required).

3. When your documents have been translated (if needed).

This document will give you a step by step process on how to apply and what you need for the NNAS

Open an application

Submit proof of identity

Submit your nursing education form

Submit nursing registration form

Submit your nursing practice/employment form

You must pay 85$ per page of your documents they need to translate

COST: approximately $1000 USD

Apply to BCCNP:

They need your NNAS registration number and NNAS application number

 

NNAS Advisory report

Most internationally-educated nurses are directed to the Nursing Competency Assessment Service (NCAS) which measures an applicant’s entry-level competencies as compared to a new Canadian graduate. All applicants must demonstrate entry-level competencies, including those who have engaged in specialized practice.

You must get referred to complete a nursing competency assessment test: http://www.ncasbc.ca/

You must pass and obtain a score to work as a RN
